Finally. Done!

seriously, I got sick of it. and I still don't like it...this piece started a few weeks back, without any planning, I was just putting random strokes onto my canvas until some shapes stood out...this approach is pretty interesting, but for some reason I must have forgotten everything about perspective that I ever learend, when doing that. I hope that I managed to still fix most if it, but I guess this early mistake is the reason why I still don't feel satisfied with this piece. but yeah, I just had to draw a line and finish this.
Perhaps you enjoy that a bit more than I do.

I used one stock photo to get some basic texture into the forest at the bottom, but still large parts of it are painted. other than that it's all a normal digital painting.
Thanks to the people who had a look at some of my wips and told me what to change/improve about it. Love you! :heart:

prints of it should be up soon, and...yeah, I hope my next painting doesn't take as long. I've been quite too long here.
Anyway, enjoy people, I put a good amount of work into the details here =)

Screw what you've learned about perspective, you've obviously surpasses it in this piece. Disorienting in an awing way. I admire the detail in the roadways, and the contrast between the busy, urban scene and the smoke-shrouded plains below.

Glad to see you brought this to completion. Looks great to me, I love the different colored lights in the darkness with the setting sun in the backdrop.
