Description
Time for some new work. This is a fairly recent drawing that I did. The foreground is actually based on a photo which I took in the beautiful town of Quedlinburg, where you have tons of old buildings like that. But from the mid-ground on I made it up to create a more interesting composition.
The piece was done with ink pens and markers, and then toned digitally.
Hope you guys enjoy, critiques are welcome as usual!

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactWow, new work! It's been a while.
I have to tell you, I like your traditional medium artwork almost more than I like your digital art, and that's saying something because I really like everything you've done so far. You have a great talent for shading and textures, which make this image work. There's a chance that if you hadn't done the shadow from the house on the left well, it would have looked a little awkward, but the shading is done perfectly.
The gate in the background is very well done, especially the addition of the half-lowered metal grate. I also particularly like the way that the buildings at the edge aren't quite finished, which just adds to the aesthetic of the piece.
On the whole, there's nothing I can think of that I'd like to see changed here. This is just altogether a wonderful drawing. Well done!
