After the stormby `memod

I am doing a speedpainting project together with =mynti We are both picking a photoreference and trying to paint it within one hour, we're painting at the same time and showing them each other in the end. This is one that I particularly liked.

I think the title suits it perfectly. You did a great job on this, the blending is seamless. May I ask how you blend so well? I'm now a big fan of your art, hope you do more soon.

Oh nice! The rent in the clouds is paticularly wonderful. You have acheived a photorealism here that actually had me fooled up until you stated otherwise. It's a great composition and the edges of the clouds within the opening itself are masterfully done.

now if only my machine was good enough to let me work so quickly and in this style on large resolutions, too, so I can achieve photorealism in clouds on a large scale in the same way...

I love this one, the texture in the clouds and sky are wonderful - this is in fact one of the reasons I adore speedpaints, the brushstrokes have to be very skilfully handled or they just look shoddy. Done well, it's exquisite, and this is a good one.

well, not sure if all my brushstrokes are so good, but in a speedpaint they are usually more apparent, that's true
